Freelacing Gig Economy and Story of a Teacher Ditched His Debt

As the new year begins, many of us look for ways to improve our lives and our happiness. One common resolutions is the pledge to pay off student loan debt. That’s no surprise. On average, Americans each owe nearly $25,000, and one in 10 owes more than $54,000 according to the Federal Reserve Bank of NY.
But where to come up with the extra cash to pay down hefty educational tabs? As the economy struggles to recover, it can feel like we have holes in our wallets. A new graph by PayPal founder and venture capitalist Peter Thiel shows that since 2004, student loan debt has skyrocketed while the median income for Americans with bachelor's degrees has dropped precipitously. Yes here I want to say about Socialhawkers , the ultimate market place for freelancers and small business owners.

The vast majority of American workers have endured more than a decade of wage decline or stagnation according to EPI’s analysis. And household incomes have been shrinking for the past five years (an 8.3% drop since 2007 per the
U.S. Census Bureau). It’s no wonder so many of us live paycheck-to-paycheck.

But there is hope. I’d like to share the story of a regular guy who figured out how to do exactly what seems impossible in these uncertain times. Not only did he wipe out a mountain of student loan debt, but he also did it in just one year, fulfilling a lifelong dream along the way.

Meet Harold Everton. Harold’s a music teacher, educating high school kids in New York City public schools for over a decade. An avid David Letterman fan, Harold had yearned to be a host himself since he was a little boy.
He’d been trying like crazy to get his foot in the door, earning an MBA in media and investing in recording equipment. He’s a brash, wisecracking, larger-than-life New Yorker. He has the right personality and a superabundance of drive, but he didn’t have the right connections.
While doing a Google search for “promo work” in late 2012, Harold discovered Socialhawkers, a global online marketplace for services. After taking a look at members who offered to do creative stuff like “draw you as a Simpson character,” he was inspired. He decided to post a video advertising his “energetic spokesman” services. To his surprise and elation, the orders came flooding in

Harold began sprinting home from school to jump on camera for Fiverr clients. Positive feedback generated more business. Soon the demand was so high that he’d only catch a few hours of sleep before waking at 1 a.m. to keep rolling.
And the rest was history.
In about a year, Harold had a slew of clients spanning small businesses to large corporations. His over-the-top promos ranged from a “pseudo-serious black and white” plug for a law firm to a late night talk show bit. He was making enough for Fiverr to be a second job and earned the coveted “Top-Seller” designation. That meant more publicity, community connections, and higher paying gigs. He soon set his sights on paying off more than $50,000 in student loans by the end of 2013.

I’m thrilled to report that, fueled by an innate boundless energy (and copious caffeine consumption), Harold achieved his goal in one year and is now debt free.

That Google search sure paid off.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not suggesting that any of this was easy. Harold’s definitely a one-of-a-kind dynamo (and self-proclaimed “crazy man”) able to work round-the-clock like no other, as you can see for yourself when you watch one of his Socialhawkers promo videos. Yet there’s a message in his story for all of us. Because Harold’s outrageous success is driven by one thing: passion.

Passion is at the heart of the labor force of new entrepreneurs, which we call the Gig Economy. Whether motivated by desire, necessity, or both, a growing number of us are trying to create a new world for ourselves. In this universe, what we love to do the most is what we get out of bed for in the morning (or at midnight). Marketplaces like Socialhawkers make this revolution possible by connecting us. They’re a way for us find the people who are looking to pay us for our dream gigs.

To me, that’s what the 2014’s really about. An era of level playing fields, where everyday people like Harold can find success on their own merits, no matter who they know. Let’s all resolve to be a part of it.

Facebbok Has Been Forced To Charity Of $10M For Violating Users' Rights By US Court

Facebook Incorporation has agreed to pay $10 million to charity to settle a lawsuit that accused the site of violating users'rights to control the use of their own names, photographs and likenesses, according to court documents made public over the weekend. Here the story of Facebbok Has Been Forced To Charity Of $10M For Violating Users' Rights By US Court.

The case in U.S. District Court,Northern District of California is Angel Fraley et al., individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated vs. Facebook Inc. ,11-cv-1726.The lawsuit, brought by five Facebook members, alleged the social networking site violated California law by publicizing users' "likes" of certain advertisers on its "Sponsored Stories" feature without paying them or giving them a way to opt out, the documents said.A "Sponsored Story" is an advertisement that appears on a member's Facebook page and generally consists of another friend's name, profile picture and an assertion that the person "likes" the advertiser.
The settlement was reached last month but made public this weekend.Facebook declined to comment on Saturday. The proposed class-action lawsuit, filed in federal court in San Jose, California, could have included nearly one of every three Americans, with billions of dollars in damages, according to previous court documents. In the lawsuit,Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg was quoted as saying that a trusted referral was the "Holy Grail" of advertising. In addition, the lawsuit cited comments from Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg, saying that the value of a "Sponsored Story" advertisement was at least twice and up to three times the value of a standard Facebook.com ad without a friend endorsement.U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh said the plaintiffs had shown economic injury could occur through Facebook's use of their names, photographs and likenesses.California has long recognized a right to protect one's name and likeness against appropriation by others for their advantage,"Koh wrote. The settlement arrangement is known as a cy-pres settlement, meaning the settlement funds can go to charity.
Facebook shares closed at $30.01 on Friday, down 21 percent since the company's initial public offering last month.

One of the question that almost everyone starts asking after working hard for days and nights by writing tons of articles online. Why should your blog make money? Why should advertisers sponsor it? What have you got in your content that will provide potential return to advertisers ? Why should someone buy an ad spot on your blog? Are you receiving good page views? Which country brings you a lot of traffic? Forget about PageRank, whats your Alexa? A lot of questions that can be asked from people who just stepped into blogging and all these questions have logical answers.I have observed new enthusiastic people rapidly turning their attention to this beautiful art of writing and earning online.Yes without any doubts, blogs do make money and they drive hell lot of traffic but if that is the case then why aren't everyone becoming a millionaire? The secret lies in a sensible traffic formula and understanding search engine optimization strategies, the sooner you know it,the better it gets. The most researched and asking question from bloggers that Why his Blog Makes No Money?

I am trying to reply the core question here. People everywhere around the world has realized the importance of education.Literacy rate is growing at an alarming rate producing brilliant authors every single second.Every good writer wants to turn his writing skills into cash. Some try their luck as freelancers whilst others in search of their own unique identity choose blogging as a long term goal.Netcraft, which is an Internet monitoring company, reported in 2007 that there were 106,875,138 Web sites with domain names and content on them in 2007, compared to just 18,000 Web sites in August 1995.Billions of webpages are published every day within 24 hours, making the competition online tougher every second. Can you expect to survive as a new content publisher amongst already existing giants? Yes you can! Internet traffic is like a hungry whale eating everything coming in its way.The only difference is that are you providing a smooth path for search engines to come and value what you publish? I guess I have asked enough questions, its time to solve some mysteries and bust some widely popular myths online. Most Grossing Question By The Professional Bloggers Why Blog Does Not Make Money.
Three Fundamental Tips To Succeed As Blogger
1)Patience and Dedication:-
The first lesson that I learnt in my school economic classes was that the success of a good businessman lies in investing power. Those who step into business today and expect profit in material form tomorrow, are the first to badly end their endeavors.Hopelessness and frustration accompany you when you expect a lot.Why should you receive tons of traffic daily when you have not invested at all? Pro bloggers that you hear of daily were lucky champs who started blogging 10 years ago.Every single blogging ICON today has written around thousands of quality articles online and these articles were a smart investment that today generates them revenue in hundreds of dollars via Ad impressions. You don't need to write 1000 of articles to reach a stable stage and work hard too much, what you need to do is answer the call of internet.Stick to your topic and don't deviate.Work hard for continuous six months and your targets should be the following:
Write at least one post per day.My personal recommendation would be 2-3 posts per day.Hire authors just like me if you cant do it alone. Write on social media to boost your traffic. Always write on latest updates related to social media networking sites and keep social media as a for granted part of your blog no matter what your niche may be.Keep track of updates related to your niche and provide readers with something new.Act like a journalist, hear it first and share it first.
Keep post length to a minimum of 500 words and post title limit to 65-70 characters
Post at a fixed time and don't just push the publish button anytime you want.Alexa Rank improves only when you fix your posting time. Keep note of every minute.Keep an interval of 7-13 minutes between your posts.Keep timing odd always. For improving PageRank do not waste time by commenting on every forum and blog,do Guest posting. There are several high PR blogs that accept guest posts.Search for the list of High PageRank blogs that accept guest posts.Keep Adsense away for six months! Adsense is useless when your traffic is less than 500 unique visitors/day.Add it only once you cross the stage#1 of blogging.Add social networking buttons on your blog,Add likebox, twiiter follow button and Google Plus sharing widgets on your blog. Keep your sidebar as clean as possible and wait and watch. The only motivation for you should be improved Alexa Rank daily. If your Alexa is not improving then you need to change your posting time.Post at midnights if you live in Asia. You must achieve 20-10K Alexa Rank Within this six months investing period.Remember you are investing in terms of patience and dedication.Apply SEO PACK to your blog,no matter you use Wordpress or blogger.
2)Learn and Keep exploring Skills:-
There is a difference between a normal essay writer, journalist and a blogger. The aim of blogger should not be to write well polished posts with high-fi vocab instead he should write well optimized posts using SEO techniques.Avoid use of strong English with idioms, complex phrases, clich├ęs,metaphors and instead adopt a simple and easy to understand style.Simple English is what that attracts both visitors and search engine robot hits.Learn baics of search engine optimization related to the platform you are using.Don't apply every SEO tip that you learn online. You must follow people who share tutorials related to the platform you are using.
3)Avoid the unavoidable:-
You need to understand the value of your time online.Every hour is precious in life and time turns productive only when you filter the obstacles.Do this to keep ideas flooding in your mind and in order to protect yourself from distraction.Delete your Facebook Account permanently and do not use any social media network as personal profile.Use them for blog promotion only.Today the first website I visit is my blog and lots of posts are waiting in queue to be published while back in the start of 2011,the first website I used to visit was Facebook and I would always find myself with no unique ideas in mind because I had become an addict who was always looking into personal lives of other people with no objective for his own life. The day I left Facebook,I discovered what true life is and how dreams could be turned into reality.Avoid listening to the tips shared by story tellers.Story tellers are people who are well established online and they always force you in accepting them as role models. These stereotype people online often pretend to be role models and give you a believe to trust them with everything they share. There tips to be honest often lack practicality. The reason behind their success is that they are well educated actors with accidental achievements in life.If you really want to push ahead then avoid the shortcuts that they provide.Whether they may be pro bloggers or Internet Marketers, they only aim at building their email lists in order to keep rolling their marketing strategies that keep fooling people the way they did you. Please read this article to open your eyes:5 Tips To Destroy your Blogging Career.Do not Display your subscriber or fan followers count unless you get at least 100 subscribers or 100 followers from any social media network you use.Low followers count often discourage new visitors from subscribing and thus readership to grow.Act like a professional and give an impression like you are not the only one running the blog. Avoid the word "I" and prefer using "We".Check your analytics report only once a week and not every day.Human mind is very sensitive.sometimes a drop in traffic often disturb a lot. Therefore in order to keep your mind fresh and away from distraction, you may check your website stats only once a week to see the result of your one week hard work. Daily checkup of stats will often distract your mind and can disappoint you too.Do not waste time commenting on blogs and forums unless you need help. In order to receive rich backlinks the best you can is to Write at most one quality guest post once or twice a month at a a well established blog that may accept guest posts. You don't need to be someone big in order to qualify for guest posting. As long as your guest post offers some value to Admin readers it will never be rejected. In order to qualify for guest post the best strategy is to keep its length as high as possible.Generally guest posts that share top20 tips, tech gadgets or tools are always accepted. Therefore write one good guest post daily to ensure build up backlinks at an early stage.
In short in order to make potential revenue out of your blog, you must keep posting daily. For a maximum boost in traffic and revenue writing two quality posts per day play wonders for bloggers are also bound to post at least once a day. When writing a new post think at least for 5 minutes to give your post a better optimized title and keep opening paragraph rich with keywords.Apply social media plugins to blog, answer readers regularly and write on latest updates.Nothing works like magic than sharing updates on social media and technology.I will be completing this series very soon.I just hope this ongoing help may prove beneficial to most of you.I am sharing my personal experiences and formulas here, sharing everything I learnt sop far.I hope this small effort from this little blog may educate newbie bloggers in a more correct way, guiding them to true webmaster strategies.Peace and blessings pals.

Non Official Islamic Country Pakistan blocks Twitter over ‘blasphemous’ Prophet Muhammad drawings

Micro Blogging Social networking service Twitter has been blocked in Pakistan after the site refused to remove tweets concerning “blasphemous”Muhammad cartoons, according to Pakistan’s Express Tribune.

1.Back ground of twitter ban in Pakistan:-

Twitter was targeted by the Pakistani government after some users organized a competition for people to draw the Prophet Mohammed, something that many Muslims consider blasphemous.Pakistan reportedly asked Twitter officials to stop tweets about the Prophet Muhammad, but“Twitter refused our request,” Pakistan Telecommunication Authority(PTA) Chairman Mohammad Yaseen told the Express Tribune.Yaseen said that once Twitter removes the offending tweets,Twitter will be unblocked.
The Associated Press reports that Facebook complied with Pakistan’s requests about the competition.Facebook site was banned briefly in Pakistan about two years ago for refusing to remove a similar user-created contest. After two weeks,it eventually complied and removed the offending content.

2.Government says on twitter ban in Pakistan:-

Easy & Fair Ways to know the acquired time of a Website or web page was Last Updated

"This may or not be a complicated question... but here goes!I use Microsoft Windows XP and have Internet Explorer as my browser.I am wondering if there is any way, when I load a web page to find out when the web page was last updated or when it was added as a site/ posted?I know trusted sites like ThriftyFun say when they are last updated, but sometimes when researching for school or need to know research I have no clue as to if its from 2006 or 1996.I look forward for any advice and thank you in advance."This question mailed me by Matt H,Keene,NH USA.

Today I am going reply the query and thinks this query may be a lots of bloggers, webmasters as well as normal internet users. If you regularly visit web pages looking for new or updated information, you'll save countless hours by automating the process with software that tracks changes for you-even while you sleep.
Let's face it-the web is constantly changing, with new content being added and old content being moved or deleted at a pace that even search engines can't keep up with.If you have a set of pages that you monitor regularly for new content, software that tracks changes can be a godsend. These programs, variously called "page trackers,""url monitors,"or other descriptive names, are constantly on the lookout for changes to web pages. What kinds of pages would you monitor on a regular basis? Well,I've got my favorite programs,WebSites, set up to monitor all of the major search services'press release pages.I also have it monitoring a number of weblogs that post frequently but on an irregular schedule. You can use them to monitor online forums, auctions, news sites--anything that changes frequently.Page monitors can also be very useful competitive intelligence tools. In addition to press release pages, you can set up page trackers to notify you whenever new job notices, product updates,or any other kind of information offering potential business intelligence is posted to your competitors' web sites.Selecting pages to monitor is easy. Most programs allow you to add the page you're currently viewing to the list of tracked pages. Many also allow you to import bookmarks. With most of these services, you specify the kinds of changes you'd like to be notified about.New content? Many of these services highlight new or changed content on copies of the page. For pages that change frequently,it's better to check for a new date or timestamp on a web page,to avoid being inundated with alerts. You can also often indicate how frequently would you like to check for changes-anywhere from once a minute to longer intervals, such as a week or month, depending on the available options offered by the page tracking service. When changes have been detected, the programs will notify you or send you an email alert. For web-based page tracking services, notification will be posted to a custom web page. Some of these services also let your readers sign up for alerts that go out any time you add content to your own web site. The five web page monitoring services listed below each offer the same basic tracking features. Each also offers unique features that might fit your needs better than the others.
1.Google Product forum :-

Google has suggested in Google Product forum to use"javascript:alert(document.lastModified)"to find out when webpage was last updated.it will work fine in IE but Google chrome will work, when it pasts address bar the"javascript:" got stripped out-it needs to retype it in.
WebSite-Watcher allows you to monitor any number of websites for updates and changes with a minimum of time and online costs. When changes in a website are detected,WebSite-Watcher saves the last two versions to your hard disk and highlights all changes in the text.Because WebSite-Watcher is a desktop utility, there is no risk that you might lose your page tracking should the company go out of business.WebSite-Watcher is free to try for 30 days.
WatchThatPage gives you several options for how you want to monitor the Internet. You can get all the new content collected in one email,or separated into several emails to sort the information on different topics or importance. You can receive all changes,or just changes that match keywords you specify. You can get daily updates,or customize the updates to the weekdays of your choice.WatchThatPage also offers a notification service for webmasters. Your visitors will get email alerts whenever you add new content to your webpages.Watch ThatPage is web-based,and free to individual users.
TrackEngine can alert you to specific events on any given webpage, using a process that's just slightly more complex than saving and managing bookmarks. At any time, you may sign in to TrackEngine and manage your bookmarks online. You may edit the tracking parameters of selected bookmarks,or delete bookmarks which you no longer need.TrackEngine is web-based and free to individuals, with several pricing options for businesses.
Use to consolidate your web site tracking into a single email digest. The digest groups and summarizes the changes in the sites you're tracking. And when you need to,you can click through to a version of any of those pages to see all the changes since your last visit, highlighted and marked by InfoMinder.InfoMinder is web-based,allows you to track only up to 100 web pages.
